Criteria for Referring an Individual to another Agency or Entity

If our contracted Clinical Supervisor at Neema Behavioral Health Residential Care determines that a resident’s behavioral health issue is related to a medical condition or if a resident’s medication prescription needs to be reviewed, a referral will be made to the resident’s Primary Care Physician or psychiatrist as designated in the treatment plan.

Residents will be assisted to make maximum use of support systems in the community such as the 12 Step Program, Alcohol Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Community Bridges, or other services provided by the resident’s placing agency. The Clinical Supervisor, Registered Nurse, Program Director, resident and legal guardian/authorized representative will work as a team to make a decision in the best interest of the resident.
